Archery Novice Camps
This program introduces students to the sport of archery. Our primary goal is to enrich the knowledge of every student and get to love the sport!
The goal of this camp program is to help new archers develop a foundation on the fundamentals of the sport (USA Archery's National Training System, NTS), the rules/safety, and the basic techniques on what and not to do, the different form requirements, and how to execute them properly.
This program is best for archers who either: have never tried archer, have had minimal time shooting a bow, or are really struggling to pick up the foundations from their coach or club.
Archery Intermediate / Advanced Camps
This advanced program is a class for students who want to enhance or develop their skills for possibly competing in local, state, or national tournaments. On this level, archers are expected to already have a solid foundation in the National Training System (NTS) and want to improve on their form, techniques, mental performance, and planning.
Students enrolled in this program must have at least intermediate archery skills* and are open and excited about learning new ideas.
Any archer who has participated in a previous STL Archery Club Summer Camp, have attended our Saturday Group Lessons, or have had private lessons with Addy Koziol are welcome to join the Intermediate and Advanced Camp.
*Families with multiple archers at different levels: If you are intrested in camps, but would like all of your family to attend the same week of camp, archers with no experience are welcome to set up a few private lessons or attend a few sessions of our group lessons prior to the start of Camp. Once they have the foundation NTS steps they are welcome to attend the advanced camps.
