Our Mission

The St. Louis Archery Club (SLAC) has been a part of Forest Park since we were founded in 1925. Our purpose is to perpetuate, foster and direct the sport of target archery in the St, Louis area at the Forest Park Archery Range in accordance with the USA Archery Association and the National Field Archery Association and high standards of sportsmanship.

To encourage membership in the national archery associations and the club. Interpret and enforce rules in the interests of sportsmanship and safety.

To promote periodic competitive participation in the sport.

To cooperate with the national, regional, state, and local organizations in the promotion of target archery and to foster and perpetuate a spirit of good fellowship among all archers.

To conduct a continuous educational program to acquaint the public with the bow and the sport of archery.

Our Commitment to Diversity

At St. Louis Archery Club, we proudly uphold a commitment to diversity that reflects the rich tapestry of our community. We believe that archery, like any sport, should be inclusive and welcoming to all.

We strive to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals from all walks of life can come together to enjoy the art and discipline of archery. Through our commitment to diversity, we celebrate the unique perspectives and experiences that each person brings to our range.

We actively promote diversity through outreach programs, educational initiatives, and community partnerships. By fostering a culture of inclusivity, we aim to break down barriers and create opportunities for everyone to participate in the sport of archery.

We believe that diversity not only enriches our range but also strengthens our community as a whole. Together, let us draw our bows and aim for a future where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to pursue their passion for archery.
